Haiti - Grand South : More than 160 million for rehabilitation work on 57 schools
As part of preparations for the 2025-2026 school year, a delegation from the National Education Fund (FNE), led by Director General Sterline Civil, toured several schools located in the Grand South (Southeast, South, Nippes, and Grand'Anse).

During this tour, Sterline Civil met with school principals to announce funding for 57 schools selected based on the recommendations of departmental directors and taking into account the most urgent needs.

This FNE funding is intended for the rehabilitation of school infrastructure (toilet blocks, painting, fencing, electricity, roofing, benches, blackboards, etc...) and totals more than 160 million Gourdes (160,392,091).

To ensure rigorous and transparent management of these funds, the FNE signed a memorandum of understanding with each beneficiary school principal. This document formally commits them to responsible use of the allocated funds and to submit a full report on all work completed within 20 days of the date of signature.

All checks were distributed to the principals of the beneficiary schools, in the presence of the relevant departmental directors. Any misuse of the disbursed funds will result in an investigation by the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC).
