Eight officers from the Multinational Mission were injured, three of them seriously, requiring medical evacuation to the Dominican Republic for specialized care after receiving initial treatment at the Aspen Level 2 Hospital located at LSA2.

The Mission expresses its gratitude to the members of the local community who immediately provided assistance with the relief efforts.

The MSS offers "extends its gratitude to members of the local community who immediately assisted in rescue efforts. Further updates will be shared as information becomes available."

Reacting on X, the United States said it was "The United States is deeply saddened by the MSS vehicle accident this evening in Kenscoff. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those who passed and wish a speedy recovery for those injured."
