In an interview, the Deputy Arnel Bélizaire explained that he did not see the need for another Commission, as all elements related to his arrest are known, that it is sufficient to decide on the follow-up to give to this case. On the other hand, the deputy is willing to find an amicable solution "we will seek a compromise amicably to the benefit of the Haitian people..."

"...the Assembly is sovereign, and the Commission was created in Assembly, but we do not see the need for the Commission, a Commission is created when there is no evidence and that we seeks to shed light [...] in the case of the arrest of Arnel Bélizaire is not necessary, because there was a resolution that was taken [...] and the second week of January, we have to go back in the Assembly and that we debate this resolution, whether it will be maintained in its original form, whether it will expand or close.

For my part I think, that it's on that, that my colleagues should focus not on a new Commission [...] there is a set of educated men and women in Parliament, all things are clear... there is a folder that is mounted, which is poorly mounted by the Executive, they know which bodies are directly involved [...] after they know the following instances...

Today we will take action against the bodies concerned or not ? [...] Will we have the courage to make indictments so that the country does not fall into the problems ? We will tell the nation : this is what we are supposed to do, but because we can not let them suffer, because we are leaders, servants, so we will seek a compromise amicably to the benefit of the Haitian people...

I will not oppose to the position that the Assembly will take [...] we await the opening of Parliament to see how we're going to track..."
