Kenya : There is an emergency

Kenya's President William Ruto and Barbados' Prime Minister Mia Mottley urged the United Nations Security Council to urgently guide the future of the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMSS) in Haiti, whose mandate expires in October 2025.

FAd'H : Death of Colonel J. Jacques Thomas

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, Colonel Joseph Jacques Thomas, Secretary of the General Staff of the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H), whose health had deteriorated considerably in recent months, died at the age of 70 from cancer.

FNE : Aid to the Louis Joseph Janvier High School

On Sunday, September 7, following a meeting between the General Directorate of the National Education Fund (FNE) and Délivrance Istelien, Director of the Louis Joseph Janvier High School in Jean Rabel, in Cap-Haiïtien, the FNE will allocate 10 million gourdes as an emergency measure for the partial renovation of the high school, in preparation for the 2025–2026 school year. Roofing, painting, stairs, windows, doors, walls, fences... everything will be done to breathe new life into this infrastructure while awaiting final work.

More than a learning space, the Henry Christophe campus in Limonade embodies the promise of decentralized and equitable education. But today, this pillar of knowledge is weakened due to lack of maintenance : a damaged roof, an unfinished dormitory, torn-off ceramic tiles, immobilized buses... The challenges are immense. Faced with this emergency, a FNE team led by Director General Sterline Civil traveled this Sunday, September 7, to listen to officials and closely assess the alarming state of the infrastructure. The objective is clear : to restore hope, provide financial support, and lay the foundations for sustainable support that will guarantee thousands of students a safe and dignified study environment.

203rd Anniversary of Brazil's Independence

As part of the celebration of the 203rd anniversary of Brazil's independence, "the Presidential Transitional Council, on behalf of the people and the Haitian State, extends its warmest congratulations to the Government and people of Brazil [...] The Council also reiterates its deep gratitude to the Brazilian people for their continued support of Haiti, particularly through their active participation in international efforts to restore security and stability in the country.
