Kenscoff : 1 police officer killed, 2 others injured

On the night of September 13 to 14, 2025, a team on duty in Kenscoff was attacked by heavily armed individuals. Specialized units of the Haitian National Police (PNH) intervened as reinforcements to ensure security in the area. A PNH employee driving the light armored vehicle lost control under Molotov cocktails and overturned in a ravine in Obleon. Two police officers on board were injured and were exfiltrated by SWAT members. Unfortunately, the driver, Texon Mercy, died at the scene. During the police response, several attackers were fatally injured. Vladimir Paraison extends his sincere condolences to Texon Mercy's family, as well as to his friends and colleagues.

FAd’H 25 soldiers in training in Martinique

On the morning of Sunday, September 14, 2025, a contingent of 25 soldiers from the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd’H) left Haiti for Martinique for two weeks of training as part of the Sabre Partnership.

Labordrie Massacre, condolences from the American Embassy

Swiss Delegation in Haiti

This Sunday, September 14, 2025, Dominik Stillhart, Deputy Director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Head of the Humanitarian Aid Division and the Swiss Humanitarian Aid Unit (SHA), is visiting Haiti for several days to gain an insight into the humanitarian situation on the ground and to attend the inauguration of the new premises of the Swiss Humanitarian Aid Office in Port-au-Prince.

Becoming a police officer, new measures

Following the new measures taken by the General Directorate of the Haitian National Police (PNH), any candidate wishing to join the PNH as a police officer must have, in addition to the required documents, two (2) letters of reference from the following two individuals :

A) Police officers with a good record of service and good reputation (from the rank of IG to IM) MANDATORY.

B) - Religious leaders; Writers; Professors or any other notable (person of good reputation) in the community.

Important : The full name, telephone number, and address and occupation of the references must be clearly stated in the letter.

The EU, the French and Spanish Embassies condemn
