Haiti - Politic : The Minister of Social Affairs launched two new projects

Georges Wilbert, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor (MAST), officially launched this week the Support Project for Institutional Capacity Building of Professional Training Centers and Improving the Skills of the Haitian Workforce (PARCICFPRO) and the Project for the Restructuring of the Central and Departmental Administration of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (RECEDEMAST).

According to Minister Franck, these two new initiatives are part of a set of five projects he initiated upon his arrival at MAST. These initiatives, fully funded by the Public Treasury, are part of a drive for sustainability and modernization.

Franck calls on all sectors of national life to ensure the rigorous implementation of these various public investment projects, which are being implemented to optimize the quality of services offered and improve the living conditions of vulnerable people throughout the country.

Indeed, promoting vocational training and facilitating internship programs for young graduates are the main objectives of the PARCICFPRO project, stated Jhon Jerry Constant during his presentation. The main focuses of PARCICFPRO include : free training services, skills certification for young people, and the implementation of mechanisms related to integration programs and internship programs for young people. To this end, it includes a career guidance service, a vocational training service, a workers' education service, and a service for workers.

As for the RECEDEMAST project, it aims to reform the Ministry's legal framework to adapt it to current realities; restructure the MAST administration; decentralize services; revitalize this institution; and accelerate certain planning processes, stated Carl Henry Joseph, the project leader.
