After several days of repulsed assaults, a large group of heavily armed terrorists from the criminal gang "Gran Grif" succeeded, after several hours of gunfire, to force the police officers, who were occupying and defending the Liancourt police station (Bas Artibonite), to retreat under a hail of bullets. They then looted, set fire to and destroyed the police station.

RN#1 Unblocked

On Monday, September 15, after nine days of blockade, the Arcahaie City Hall announced the reopening of this main road connecting the capital to the north of the country, thanks to a joint operation by the Haitian National Police (PNH), municipal brigadiers, and community security groups.

The "Gang Suppression Force" would be autonomous

With a UN Chapter VII mandate, the "Gang Suppression Force," which is the subject of the resolution under discussion in the Security Council, will have greater autonomy and the authority to use lethal force to carry out its mission. Unlike the Multinational Security Support Mission, the "Gang Suppression Force" will not be there to support the Haitian National Police (PNH) but will be able to operate independently of it, with autonomous command, although it will continue to report to the Haitian authorities.

The PNH secures Cabaret and Arcahaïe

Following the massacre perpetrated in Labodrie by armed terrorists, the Government reminds the population that the State is fully mobilized and is waging a relentless fight to eradicate insecurity. • Deploy specialized units to secure the area and protect the population;

• Strengthen the security grid around Cabaret, Arcahaïe, and surrounding areas;

• Launch tracking operations to neutralize the armed gangs responsible;

• Provide assistance to the families of the victims with medical, psychological, and humanitarian support.

Diaspora : Banquet Festival Ottawa

The Embassy of Haiti in Canada is proud to have been a partner of the very first edition of the Banquet Festival Ottawa "Banfestottawa", which took place on September 13, 2025. This banquet festival honored the richness of Haitian gastronomy, an opportunity to showcase the work of Haitian restaurateurs in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.
