Les Cayes Under Water

The torrential rains that have been battering the Grand Sud region since Friday, September 26, caused significant flooding in the city of Les Cayes on Saturday, and the situation remains worrying as the rains continue. Several neighborhoods are under water, and many families have had to flee to safer locations.

Inflation Breaks Through 30%

In August 2025, inflation in Haiti increased by 2% on a monthly basis. The Greater Sud region recorded the highest rate at 33.2%, followed by the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area at 31.6% on an annual basis.
