Haiti - Economy : Dominican exports to Haiti on the rise

Exports to Haiti totaled US$775.8 million between January and August 2025: US$531 million for domestic shipments; US$184 million for shipments via free zones; US$30.1 million for temporary shipments; and US$30.7 million for re-exports.

These figures reflect statistics from the Directorate General of Customs (DGA), which indicate that shipments to Haiti represented an absolute increase of US$182.27 million compared to 2024.

Information from the Dominican Republic Export and Investment Center (ProDominicana) indicates that a total of 1,633 Dominican products were shipped to Haiti through 1,024 exporters from 20 provinces.

The main exported products include: knitted T-shirts and undershirts (8.5%), cotton fabrics (7.1%), iron or steel bars (6.3%), Portland cement (6.2%), soybean oil (4.7%), wheat flour (4.1%), iron bars (4.0%), ketchup and other tomato sauces (2.2%), and bakery products (2.08%).
