DGI FLASH : New Rules for Check Writing

On September 26, 2025, the French Tax Directorate (DGI) published a Memorandum-circular regarding the writing of checks for royalties, taxes, duties, fees, and fines. According to the document signed by Director General Romual Petit, as of October 1st, 2025, the relevant checks must now be made payable exclusively to the "Trésor Public-DGI" and no longer to the French Tax Directorate (DGI).

Laurent St. Cyr alongside Trump

During the traditional reception hosted by the U.S. executive branch in honor of the heads of delegations at the 80th United Nations General Assembly, held at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel, President Donald Trump, the host of the reception, accompanied by the First Lady, in a brief, cordial exchange of pleasantries, confirmed the United States' support for Haiti to Laurent St. Cyr, President pro tempore and Coordinator of the Transitional Council, who was accompanied by his wife.
