Haiti - Tourism : Celebrity Cruises suspends its stops in Haiti until 2026

Celebrity Cruises, a cruise line headquartered in Miami, Florida, and owned by Royal Caribbean, has suspended its calls to Labadee, Haiti, due to ongoing safety concerns.

Celebrity Cruises will therefore eliminate calls to Labadee, Haiti, in 2025 and 2026. A total of 11 different itineraries have been modified, primarily affecting cruises aboard Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Beyond.

Instead of stopping in Labadee, the ships will call in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Grand Cayman, or Cozumel, Mexico.

This change follows a similar decision by Royal Caribbean, which announced in September 2025 the cancellation of all its calls to Labadee until at least spring 2026. https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-45722-icihaiti-labadee-haiti-deprived-of-cruise-passengers-until-april-2026.html

Haiti has been in a state of emergency since March 2024, under a Level 4 "Do Not Travel" warning due to threats of political unrest, crime, kidnapping, and terrorism. "There is a risk of terrorist violence, including attacks and other violent gang activity in Haiti," the State Department stated in its warning. "There are gangs that are designated as terrorist organizations present in Haiti."
