Bandits' Failure in Fessard

Violent clashes erupted last week in the Laboule 12, Fessard, and Pyron neighborhoods when heavily armed men attempted to seize control of Fessard. They were repelled thanks to the combined efforts of the police and self-defense groups.

Fatal Incident : 5 BSAP Agents Arrested

On Saturday, November 8, the Haitian National Police (PNH) arrested five agents from the Protected Areas Security Brigade (BSAP) following an incident that escalated after an altercation resulted in the fatal shooting of a motorcycle driver. Agent Edner Étienne, identified as the suspected shooter, is among those arrested and taken into custody. This unacceptable act provoked a strong reaction from the population, leading to the burning of public buildings, including the mayor's office, the tax office (DGI), the local BSAP base, and the residence of Wilner Moïse, brother of former President Jovenel Moïse, on Sunday by angry members of the public. The Haitian National Police (PNH) is calling for calm and reminds everyone that acts of vandalism against public or private buildings and property are punishable by law and do not resolve interpersonal conflicts.

Laurent Saint-Cyr Returns Home

On Sunday, November 9, Laurent Saint-Cyr, President pro tempore and Coordinator of the Transitional Council, returned to Haiti after an official visit to Doha, Qatar, where he participated in the Second World Summit for Social Development. On the sidelines of the Summit, he advocated for increased financial and technical support to establish security in Haiti, address the humanitarian crisis, and organize free and credible elections as soon as possible.

Curaçao : The Grenadiers should be at full strength

Sébastien Migné, the French coach of the Haitian national team, accompanied by his technical staff, has arrived in Curaçao. He joined representatives of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), who have been on site since Friday to manage the logistics related to the Grenadiers' arrival. Haiti will face Costa Rica on Thursday, November 13, and Nicaragua on November 18 for its final two qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup. According to information released by the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), all players called up are expected to arrive at the training camp this Monday, November 10, 2025. 31st Anniversary Celebration of the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE)

On Friday, November 7, 2025, the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) celebrated its 31st anniversary under the theme: "31 Years of Commitment and Unbreakable Bonds Between Haiti and its Diaspora." Uruguay will not participate in the GSF

According to Uruguay's Minister of National Defense, Sandra Lazo, the deployment of the "Gang Supression Force" (GSF) "changes the nature" of "peacekeeping" missions, which have always been part of Uruguayan foreign policy and are therefore not on the agenda. The Secretary of State emphasized "Uruguay has no intention of switching to another type of mission."
