Riyadh : Minister Monazard Advocates for Investment in MSMEs

On Saturday, November 22, 2025, James Monazard, Minister of Commerce and Industry, participated in the 11th Ministerial Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. There, he advocated for productive investment, support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and innovation as essential drivers for Haiti's economic transformation.

National Billiards Championship

Joseph Junior Michel, President of the Haitian Billiards Federation (FHAB), announced the first edition of the National Billiards Championship in Haiti, to be held from November 22 to December 12, 2025. This championship aims to identify the best Haitian billiards players in order to form a national team that will represent Haiti in regional and international competitions. The regional qualifying rounds will take place over two weeks, during which billiards players from affiliated clubs will compete in eight groups. The eight qualifying players (first in each group) will advance to the national tournament, called the "Tournament of the Greats". The grand final will be held at La Réserve restaurant, as part of the Port-au-Prince Book Fair.

Team France Fund 2025-2026

The French Embassy has launched the Team France Fund 2025-2026, endowed with €800,000 to strengthen the actions of Haitian organizations working for women's rights and gender equality. Selected from 246 applications, the 28 winning projects come from nine departments and focus on two priorities: defending women's rights and women's economic empowerment, and combating climate change.

Security : OIF Available to Support Haiti

On the sidelines of the 46th Ministerial Conference of the Francophonie, Haitian Foreign Minister Jean-Victor Harvel Jean-Baptiste held a bilateral meeting with Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary General of the International Organisation of the Francophonie (OIF). During their discussions, the Foreign Minister emphasized the urgency and strategic importance of deploying the Gang Repression Force (FRG), while calling for increased support from OIF partners. For her part, Louise Mushikiwabo reaffirmed the OIF's willingness to support Haiti, particularly through the mobilization of equipment and supplies to strengthen the operational capacities of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H) and the Haitian National Police (PNH), which are engaged in the fight against armed gangs.

FIFA : Our Grenadiers Move Up 4 Places

In the latest FIFA world rankings published on November 19, Haiti moved up four places, from 88th to 84th with 1,294 points, pending the draw for the 2026 World Cup, scheduled for December 5, 2025, in Washington, D.C.

Plan International Stands with Haitian Children

While International Children's Rights Day was being celebrated (November 20, 2025), throughout Haiti, girls and boys remained at risk of kidnapping, exploitation, violence, malnutrition, internal displacement, and recruitment and use of children by armed groups. Through its actions and programs in five departments, the NGO Plan International, in partnership with the Institute for Social Welfare and Research (IBESR), is committed to supporting all Haitian children to ensure their rights are respected.
