GSF Contribution : Promises Without Details

On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in New York, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé participated in a meeting with countries willing to contribute to the French Gang Supression Force (GSF). Several countries pledged personnel and funding, but no details about these commitments or the countries involved were released. Official : Haitian Compas Added to the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity

The Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Permanent Delegation of Haiti to UNESCO, inform cultural and musical operators, artists, researchers, music lovers, and the general public that "Konpa/Compas of Haiti" was officially inscribed (unanimously) on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity this Wednesday, December 10, 2025, during the 20th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, held in New Delhi, India.
