The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) is launching the second cohort of the "Women's Entrepreneurship Support Project" (PAEF), targeting women entrepreneurs across the country.

As part of this project, the MCI aims to provide technical and financial support to the income-generating activities of local businesses led by women. This project primarily seeks to support a greater presence of women entrepreneurs in the Haitian economy.

The PAEF's overall objective is to increase economic opportunities for women entrepreneurs in the country by supporting their efforts through the consolidation and expansion of their businesses.

Specific Objectives :

• Strengthen the capacities of 500 women entrepreneurs through technical assistance activities;

• Facilitate access to credit for 300 women-led micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) through a financing system developed to meet their specific needs;

• Support 100 young women entrepreneurs in launching their businesses through an appropriate mentoring system;

• Create incentives for the formalization of businesses led by targeted women to streamline and expedite the creation and maintenance of formal businesses;

• Support the identification of economic opportunities across various value chains and sectors.

This call for proposals seeks to select existing business projects or innovative project ideas that demonstrate a strong impact on the communities in which they are established. While not exhaustive, priority is given to the following sectors :

Agriculture; Livestock; Fishing; Production/Processing Industries; Manufacturing; Crafts; Recycling (Waste Transformation); Tourism; Technology; Logistics and any other relevant sector...

Eligibility Criteria :

This program is for women entrepreneurs who meet the following criteria :

• Be a female business leader;

• Have an innovative and revenue-generating business idea;

• Have a business in a growth or modernization phase;

• Have a business physically located in Haiti;

• Must not be a current beneficiary of other MCI projects.
