Haiti - Economy : Launch of the Digital Professional Card

On Monday, December 15, 2025, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) took another step in modernizing public administration with the launch of the digital Professional Identity Card (CIP).

The launch was attended by Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils Aimé, Ministers James Monazard (Commerce and Industry), Alfred Fils Métellus (Economy and Finance - MEF), Panel Paulémont, the Director General of the MCI, as well as several senior public administration officials and representatives from the private sector.

Professionals can now obtain their CIP online at https://guichet.mci.ht/cip . With the launch of the digital CIP, professionals can now complete their applications online, reducing processing times and avoiding unnecessary travel. This development contributes to the formalization of economic activities, the improvement of the business environment, and the strengthening of trust between the government and economic stakeholders.

In his address, Prime Minister Fils Aimé emphasized the prominent role of digital technology in the contemporary world, stressing the need for the Haitian government to adapt to the demands of the times in order to offer faster, more accessible, and more transparent services, particularly for business stakeholders.

Minister James Monazard explained that the digitized Business Identification Card (CIP) is a continuation of the online registration platform for sole proprietorships, launched in October 2024. He highlighted that the card allows users to complete their administrative procedures remotely, from anywhere and at any time. The CIP is a key component of the Single Digital Window, designed to simplify procedures, improve transparency, and secure business data.

For Director General Paulémont, the digitization of the CIP serves a dual purpose : to optimize processing procedures and increase the ministry's performance. He emphasized the break with old manual practices, characterized by voluminous files, lengthy delays, and poor traceability, and stressed the sustainable improvement of public service quality.
