TPS : New Deadline for the Government
Yesterday, Judge Ana C. 6 Bandits Killed, Weapons and Ammunition Seized
On the night of Tuesday, January 20, to Wednesday, January 21, 2026, during an operation conducted in Bercy, a town located between the municipalities of Arcahaie and Cabaret, by units of the Haitian National Police (PNH) supported by the Prime Minister's Office task force, six bandits were killed in an exchange of fire with law enforcement. The police seized two firearms, including a 12-gauge shotgun and an M4 assault rifle (5.56 caliber), as well as ammunition.

Kenscoff : More than 400 Dead
More than 400 people have reportedly lost their lives since the start of the violent crime wave in Kenscoff. Mayor Jean Massillon of the Municipal Council reported new victims in the town over the past weekend.

Purchase of Fire Trucks for 2 Airports
The National Airport Authority (AAN) announces the acquisition of two specialized firefighting vehicles to strengthen security measures within national airport infrastructure. These vehicles will be assigned to Toussaint Louverture International Airport (AITL) and Cap-Haïtien International Airport (AICH), respectively. This acquisition is part of the institution's efforts to strengthen its operational capacity and upgrade fire safety services.

Armored Vehicles for the Departments
Vladimir Paraison, Acting Commander of the Haitian National Police (PNH), announced that all departments in the country will be equipped with at least 15 armored personnel carriers to bolster the PNH's operational capacity.

National Conference for the Refounding of the Education System
On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, the National Conference for the Refounding of the Haitian Education System was officially launched, under the theme "For Transformative Education: National Conference for the Refounding of the Haitian Education System" an initiative led by the Ministry of National Education. In his address, Eric Voli Bi, UNESCO Resident Representative in Haiti, emphasized, "This conference is not a mere exercise in protocol. It constitutes an act of faith in the future of Haiti. We must build societies where man no longer fears man, but where intelligence is the daily bread," he declared, quoting the poet René Philoctète.
