Haiti - Kenscoff : Large-scale operation, at least 16 bandits killed

On the night of February 20-21, 2026, the Haitian National Police (PNH) conducted a large-scale operation in the Kenscoff area, aimed at dismantling armed groups. The operation began around midnight with the strategic deployment of specialized units in Godet and Wynn Farm, marking the start of a methodical encirclement phase.

Hstilities began around 4:00 a.m. Thanks to a tactical engagement involving snipers and two drones, 16 bandits were fatally wounded. This is a preliminary report, provided by personnel on the ground at the time of the operation.

The assault mobilized specialized units of the PNH, the Task Force, and the Private Military Company (PMC). While the operation was a success, agents were unable to immediately recover the assailants' weapons and ammunition due to the distance separating them from the slain bandits.

The manhunt continues to fully secure the area.
