Les Cayes : Flights temporarily suspended

Pétion-ville : Road Repair Work

The Ministry of Public Works announces that road repair work will be carried out this Monday, March 23, 2026, in Pétion-ville. The affected areas are: Rue Solon Menos towards Péguy-ville, Rue Rigaud (near the Consulate of the Dominican Republic), and Rue Mettelus (near the old cemetery). Work is scheduled to begin around 9:30 a.m. and may cause traffic delays in these areas, the Ministry indicates.

Suspected Cases of Diphtheria

Following suspected cases of diphtheria detected in Roche-à-Bateau (South), Nordelie (Northeast), Boucan (Central), and Sapotille (Nippes), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) conducted supervisory visits to vaccination centers and epidemic response activities in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health. Awareness campaigns were also carried out in communities through door-to-door visits and in a school to inform the population about the risks and preventive measures. These interventions strengthened field surveillance, supported local teams in managing suspected cases, and intensified vaccination efforts in the affected areas.

CAS : Increase in Allowances for Displaced Persons

The Social Assistance Fund (CAS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (MAST), has announced an increase in allowances, particularly for people living in tents. In a context marked by rising prices of basic necessities on the local market, this financial assistance will increase from 4,000 to 5,000 gourdes.

Diaspora : Miss Haiti America

Joudeline Jeanlis, a recent graduate in health and a first-generation immigrant, has been officially selected to represent the diaspora as a candidate in the 2025 Miss Haiti America pageant.
