FAd’H : 400 Soldiers to be Deployed

The Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd’H) will deploy 400 soldiers by mid-April to consolidate and defend positions recaptured by the Haitian National Police (PNH).

Haiti and the EU Discuss Justice

On Thursday, March 26, 2026, Patrick Pelissier, Minister of Justice and Public Security, received a visit from the European Union Ambassador to Haiti, Ms. Hélène Roos. Fuel price increase under consideration

The possibility of increasing petroleum product prices on the local market is currently being studied. The Government recently met with stakeholders in the petroleum sector as well as transport unions to discuss this matter.

Diaspora : Remittances on the Rise

The Bank of the Republic of Haiti's (BRH) monetary policy report for the first quarter (Q1) of 2025-2026 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-47161-haiti-economy-7th-year-of-negative-growth-brh-perspective.html reveals that remittances from the diaspora amounted to just over $1.2 billion, representing a 10.53% increase.

No Issues with Recalled Ambassadors

According to our information, the recall of ambassadors for consultations is not related to any disputes with the countries where the ambassadors are stationed. They were recalled to receive guidelines and instructions from the new government; this is considered standard procedure.
