Routed bandits

As part of operations to consolidate law enforcement in downtown Port-au-Prince, an intervention was carried out in a building in the Magloire Ambroise area. Under pressure from the police, the bandits were forced to flee. During the searches, agents seized several strategic materials, such as : 4 communication radios, 3 drones, a hunting rifle and 3 PNH uniform pants.

Advanced battle station

With the aim of strengthening the Haitian National Police (PNH), Vladimir Paraison the Acting Commander-in-Chief, accompanied by a delegation composed of certain members of the High Command, the Ambassador of the European Union in Haiti, the Ambassador of France, the Ambassador of Spain, the Permanent Representative of the Organization of American States (OAS) in Haiti, as well as a delegation from the European Union who came from Brussels, visited a PNH base to be used as a forward combat post (FOB). At least 15 rapes per day

According to a document published Thursday, May 7, 2026 by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Ministry for the Status of Women, 1,927 cases of gender-based violence were recorded in Haiti, between January and March 2026, an average of 21 new cases per day. Among these cases, 71% concern rapes, mainly perpetrated by members of armed gangs against women and girls.

Fake plane tickets

Passengers bound for Grenada were prevented from boarding on Wednesday May 6, 2026, at Cap-Haitien International Airport, after the discovery of counterfeit tickets used to attempt to travel on the company InterCaribbean Airways. According to Jacques Étienne, Airline Manager, several passengers had tickets not registered in the company's official system.
