World Cup 2026 : Referees for the Haiti vs. Scotland match

FIFA has appointed Mustapha Ghorbal to referee the opening match of the World Cup between Scotland and Haiti on June 13, 2029. The experienced Algerian referee will take charge of this group stage match, becoming one of the African officials entrusted with officiating at the world's biggest football competition. He will be assisted by his fellow Algerians Mokrane Gourari and Abbes Akram Zerhouni, who have been appointed assistant referees for the match. Alejandro Hernandez will serve as the fourth official, while his compatriot Jose Enrique Naranjo has been appointed to oversee the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) functions.

USA : Entry Requirements for Ships Arriving from Haiti

A notice signed by Nathan A. Moore, Admiral, announces that the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) will impose entry requirements on ships arriving from Haiti starting June 22, 2026 if U.S. conditions are not met. Ships arriving from Haiti that violate these measures risk being denied access to U.S. ports. List of countries considered not to have sufficient anti-terrorism measures : Cambodia, Cameroon, Comoros, Cuba, Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea), Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Madagascar, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Nigeria, São Tomé and Príncipe, Seychelles, Sudan, Suriname, Syria, Timor-Leste, Venezuela, and Yemen.
