2026 World Cup : Migné's press conference after the defeat against Brazil (video)

French coach Sébastien Migné, in a press conference after the Grenadiers' defeat against Brazil [3-0] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-47793-2026-world-cup-haiti-outclassed-by-brazil-loses-[3-0]-and-is-eliminated-video.html on June 19 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia against the "Seleção" during the FIFA World Cup 2026; While praising his players' attitude, he declared "The disappointment is immense tonight, even if the opponent is Brazil [5th in the world]."

He expressed satisfaction with the players' attitude, stating that they "deserved their place in this World Cup finals... We bent, but we didn't break."

He refuses any complacency before the final group match against Morocco on Wednesday, June 24, at 6:00 p.m. (US/Haiti time) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, USA.

For Migné, the Grenadiers still have a rare opportunity: to face another of the world's best Nations, Morocco, semi-finalists in the last World Cup and currently the best African team, on the biggest international stage.

Reacting to Haiti's 3-0 defeat against Brazil, the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) stated in a press release:

"Football can bring joy, but also tears. On Friday, the result of the match was not what we all hoped for, and we understand the disappointment of every Haitian supporter."

In these difficult times, we wish to commend the efforts and commitment of our Grenadiers who continue to proudly represent our country on the international stage. The road has not always been easy, but our respect for these courageous men who fight tirelessly for their homeland remains undiminished.

There are lessons to be learned, work to be done, and one final battle awaits us against Morocco on Wednesday, June 24. Thank you to all the fans who support the team, through thick and thin. We are all Grenadiers !"
