FIBA AmeriCup 2029 : Haiti narrowly misses qualification

The Haitian National Basketball Team concluded its campaign in the FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Caribbean Pre-Qualifiers, Group B 2026, with a convincing victory against the Cayman Islands [48-104], marking its third win in four games. Despite this impressive performance and a positive point difference of [+86 points], Haiti finished second in the group, just six points behind Barbados, which led the group [+92 points]. Since only the top team from each group qualifies for the next stage, Haiti's journey ends here. Nevertheless, this return to the international stage for the Haitian men's team after an eight-year absence is a notable achievement.
