2026-2027 Nations League opponents of the Grenadiers

On Thursday, July 23, 2026, the Grenadiers will learn their opponents during the official draw for the Nations League and the 2026-2027 CONCACAF Champions League. After a successful campaign in Ligue B that earned them promotion back to Ligue A, our Grenadiers will resume competition against the region's top teams, just weeks after their participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Security Council : GSF Special Representative Explains

On Monday, July 20, during a statement at the 10198th session of the United Nations Security Council dedicated to the situation in Haiti, Jack Christofides, Special Representative of the Gang SUpression Force (GSF), explained, "Each advance contributes to creating the conditions that make the next operation possible and more effective." Citing the June 21 operation in Tabarre as an example, he added, "Immediately afterward, we continued patrols day and night in the same area and deployed bulldozers to dismantle the barricades used by the gangs to control the territory. Our strategy distinguishes between implementing the mandate and achieving the expected results. It defines measurable indicators that allow the Council to assess whether FRG operations are reducing the gangs’ grip, strengthening Haiti’s capacity for independence, and creating the conditions necessary for restoring State authority."

FIFA Ranking : Haiti Drops 5 Places

The three defeats suffered by our Grenadiers at the 2026 World Cup have caused Haiti to drop five places in the FIFA rankings. Haiti now finds itself 88th in the world with 1,264 points.

Mexico : 114 Soldiers to Train

114 Haitian soldiers will depart for Mexico in September 2026 for training. This decision was confirmed during a meeting between Mario Andrésol, the Minister of Defense, and the Mexican Ambassador to Haiti, José De Jesús Cisneros Chávez.

The US Deports Haitian Criminals to Haiti

On Monday, July 20, 2026, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the successful completion of a deportation operation, conducted on July 16, to Haiti, which resulted in the removal of more than 100 undocumented Haitians, including some convicted criminals for: sexual assault of minors, armed carjacking, domestic violence, assault and battery, hit-and-run, rioting, armed robbery, illegal possession of firearms, and fraud.

Justice : Martelly Questioned for 4 Hours

Former President Michel Joseph Martelly appeared before the Port-au-Prince Court of Appeal on Monday, July 20, as a witness. The former occupant of the National Palace was questioned for nearly four hours by investigating judge Denis Cyprien as part of the investigation into the assassination of Jovenel Moïse.
