American Airlines announces its daily flights to Cap-Haitien

Starting November 1st, 2026, American Airlines will launch daily nonstop flights between Miami and Cap-Haitien, becoming the first U.S. airline to announce the resumption of scheduled service to Haiti.

This new service will be operated daily on a Boeing 737 MAX 8. Flights will depart Miami at 10:15 a.m. and arrive in Cap-Haïtien at 12:15 p.m. The return flight will depart Cap-Haitien at 1:15 p.m. and land in Miami at 3:15 p.m.

This schedule offers a direct and convenient option for travelers traveling between South Florida and northern Haiti, while also facilitating connections throughout American Airlines’ domestic and international network.

For members of the Haitian diaspora, particularly those residing in South Florida, this new flight significantly facilitates travel to northern Haiti.

This connection reinforces Miami’s position as American Airlines’ primary gateway to the Caribbean, where the airline operates one of the region’s most extensive international networks.

American Airlines’ decision to resume flights to Cap-Haitien is a significant step toward restoring international connectivity and recognizes the growing importance of northern Haiti as the country’s main air gateway.

This flight re-establishes a direct air link between the United States and one of the region’s most historic cities, reconnects northern Haiti to Miami, and puts Cap-Haitien back on the map of routes served by one of the world’s largest airlines.

For travelers with family ties to Haiti, this means easier travel. For the destination, it represents renewed international connectivity. And for Cap-Haitien, it’s yet another reminder that one of the Caribbean’s most captivating cities is once again becoming more accessible.
