After several weeks of waiting, the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) unveiled and officially announced on Saturday, August 22, 2026, the name of the new national coach of Haiti's Grenadiers, who will succeed Sébastien Migné.

It is the Spaniard David Badia Cequier (51 years old), born in Gavà, Catalonia, on September 4th, 1974.

He spent four seasons at FC Barcelona's youth academy and has a fourteen-year professional career in Spain, Turkey, Cyprus, and Poland. David Badia is a coach with a solid international background, specializing in building competitive, cohesive, and emotionally stable teams.

Badia places great importance on technical mastery, collective organization, and tactical understanding of the game. He will have to quickly win over the Grenadiers and impose his principles. His first task will be to transform the individual potential of the Grenadiers into a true collective force.

With the Grenadiers, David Badia is opening a new chapter in his career. His challenge in Haiti will undoubtedly be the most important of his journey : to transform the Grenadiers' current potential into results, successfully qualify for the Gold Cup, and above all, lay the foundations for a team capable of qualifying for the 2030 World Cup.
