Thursday, September 17, 2026, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, chaired a special meeting of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN), at the headquarters of the General Directorate of the National Police of Haiti (DGPNH), in Tabarre.

In the presence of members of the High Command of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and the competent authorities, the CSPN established the priorities of State action in matters of security, with the central objective of restoring the authority of the Republic and public order throughout the national territory.

The authorities examined the progress made in particular in Kenscoff and Gressier, as part of operations to reconquer territories subject to terrorist violence from armed gangs.

In his capacity as Head of the CSPN, the Prime Minister gave firm instructions to the Acting Commander-in-Chief of the PNH to continue and intensify security and reconquest operations, with the aim of protecting the population, reestablishing republican order and guaranteeing the free movement of people and goods.

The Head of Government reaffirmed that the restoration of security and authority of the State constitutes an absolute priority, an essential prerequisite for creating the conditions necessary for the holding of the next general elections.
