Haiti - Social : The Minister of the Interior met the youth at Bel-Air
Me Thierry Mayard-Paul, the Minister of Interior, of Territorial Collectivities and National Defense met Monday, January 30, 2012, with representatives of about 70 bases at Bel-Air.
The socio-economic concerns, of young people and the population in general have been the focus of discussion, including education, unemployment, security. On this last point the population took the opportunity to denounce the various acts of repression which they say they were victims. The Minister Mayard Paul immediately put in touch with the concerned officials of each sector for the necessary follow-up.
The Minister of the Interior, also renewed the support of his ministry for initiatives aiming the social peace and the consolidation of the political stability informing them that talks are underway with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, the managers of program "Aba grangou" and the Carnival Committee 2012 among others.
