As part of the "Mardis de la Nation" (Tuesdays of the Nation) series—presented exceptionally on Wednesday, October 14, 202, Pythagore Dumas, the Minister of Youth and Sports, outlined the achievements and upcoming projects of his Ministry.

During his address, he specified that the 2026–2027 budget will prioritize the restructuring of sports infrastructure across the country. In this regard, he highlighted several sites : Park Saint-Joseph in Pemerle (Fonds-des-Nègres), Park Serge Bernadel in Miragoâne, Pari Sténio Vincent in Gonaïves, Park Levelt in Saint-Marc, and Parj Saint-Victor in Cap-Haitien.

Furthermore, the Parj Larco site has been identified for the construction of a stadium in the Greater South region. Following intervention by the Prime Minister, a land dispute between the Léger family and the Les Cayes municipal government has been resolved. A study will soon be conducted to assess the viability of this project. A similar initiative is also planned for the Greater North region.

Regarding the construction and maintenance of a modern football stadium, the Minister noted that this requires expertise that the Ministry does not currently possess. Consequently, the MJSAC has issued a call for applications to recruit two civil engineers and two architects specializing in sports infrastructure, who will join the Ministry’s Infrastructure and Equipment Unit.

Additionally, the MJSAC has reached out to the State University of Haiti and various private universities to inform them of the availability of scholarships for studies in sports infrastructure abroad, intended for the top-performing students in their respective cohorts.
