Wilson Joseph, alias "Lanmo Sanjou", leader of the "400 Mawozo" terrorist coalition and a man with a $1 million USD bounty on his head offered by the United States (https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-38106-haiti-usa-infos-of-joseph-wilson-alias-lanmo-sanjou-how-to-submit-your-information.html) claimed in a video that he had captured the four missing Salvadoran soldiers alive in the "Chen Mechan" area.

"Lanmo Sanjou" stated that had the soldiers been in territory under his control, he would have taken them to his base to use as hostages, intending to initiate direct negotiations with Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele, demanding, among other conditions, the withdrawal of foreign forces currently present in Haiti.

Regarding the events in the "Chen Mechan" area where the Salvadoran soldiers reportedly disappeared he claimed his men reacted after hearing gunfire and detecting the presence of individuals who were not from the territory they control. The "400 Mawozo" leader maintained that the deaths of the Salvadorans ere the result of a mistake that occurred during clashes in the Chen Mechan area.
