Haiti - Politic : Agenda of Prime Minister in Washington

The Prime Minister of Haiti, Dr. Garry Conille, at the head of an important delegation, [Simon Dieuseul Desras, President of the Senate, Yanick Mezile, Minister for Women's Affairs, the Deputy Guy Gérard Georges President of the Comission Foreign Affairs, Patrick Rouzier, Adviser to the President Martelly, Tatiana Wah, Advisor to the Prime Minister, Jean Max BazinExecutive Secretary to the Prime Minister and Hansy Pierre Louis for the Ministry of Economy and Finance], is in mission in Washington until February 9.

Program of the visit of Prime Minister in Washington :

Monday, February 6 :
In the morning the Prime Minister will meet Mr. Raj Shah, Administrator of USAID. Garry Conille, then will lunch with Mr. Paulo Nogueira Batista, the Administrator of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for Haiti. In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will make a courtesy visit to Christine Lagarde, the General Director of the IMF, before meeting Robert Zoellick, the President World Bank Group. Around 5pm, Garry Conille, will hold talks at the World Bank, with Hassan Tuluy, Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean. He will end his day by attending dinner, hosted by the NOAH (National Organization for the Advancement of Haitians) in the House of Dr. Joseph Baptiste.

Tuesday, February 7 :
8:30 am breakfast meeting with the organization of Men and Women of Haitian affairs. The Prime Minister will meet at 10:00 am and 11:00 am. congressmen [the Congresswoman Yvette Clarke and Frederica Wilson] before going to a meeting with Mr. Luis Alberto Moreno, President of the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB). Meeting will be followed by a luncheon in honor of Prime Minister and the delegation. Around 4:00pm, the Dr. Conille, will meet with Senator Mary Landrieu. The day will end with a dinner at the residence of Mr. Leslie Pean.

Wednesday, February 8 :
At 8:00am, the Prime Minister will give a press conference at the National Press Clu (529 14th Street, NW, Suite 1300, DC 20045). At 10:00am. Garry Conille, will meet with José Miguel Insulza, Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) before to lunch at the World Bank. Lunch that will be followed by a briefing / talk on gender, with Yanick Mézile, the Haitian Minister of Women Affairs. That same day, the Prime Minister will meet the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at the State Department before attending a reception at the Embassy.

Thursday, February 9 :
To his last day in Washington, the Prime Minister will take his little breakfast with members of the "Congressional Black Caucus," which will be followed by the Presentation of Government Programme. In the afternoon the Dr. Conille, will go to Capitol Hill to meet a group of Senators [Durbin, Nelson, Rubio, Kerry, Lugar among others...]
