Haiti - Social : February, «Black History Month»

The Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti in Chicago has the duty to remind the entire community, that February is known worldwide as the "Black History Month".

"It is the occasion for us to think of our heritage and to the place that our country occupies in the history of humanity in general and of the black race in particular. We pay tribute at this occasion to our National Heroes, as throughout the year. Our history that has inspired so many people should at least be in the spotlight everywhere during the twenty-nine days of February 2012.

It is in this perspective that the Consulate General of Haiti in Chicago will intervene Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 6:00 pm on the airwaves of Radio Haiti Internationale of Chicago (1590AM) to address the subject : 'Haiti, the undisputed defender of the oppressed peoples of the earth.'"
