Laleau Wilson, the Minister of Commerce and Industry explained that this situation, which causes since few days of long queues at petrol stations in Haiti, is related to problems in Venezuela concerning the supply of fuel for Haiti... "Tuesday, we learned that it will fill the boat only Wednesday, so we expect that the ship comes in... but in the meantime, we made a special order through the Office of Monetization, [in partnership with oil companies] of 300,000 gallons of gas to Santo Domingo to meet the need of the next two days [...]

At first, we'll see how we can achieve to address this supply problem, while waiting to work on sustainable strategies to really increase the storage capacity of the country, to ensure that we had sufficient strategic reserves [...] It is not normal, that every 22 days the country is exposed to a potential shortage..."

The Government ensures that the arrival of the tanker Sunday will allow the normalization of the situation.
