Haiti - Economy : 3rd annual Haiti Business, Investment Expo & Conference 15/03/2012 13:50:43
All organizations doing or desiring to do business in Haiti and job seekers are invited to attend this two-day informative business event on investment and employment opportunities in Haiti’s myriad of projects (i.e. infrastructure, industrial, tourism, academic, etc...). Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other businesses, explore available jobs and obtain critical training on conducting business in Haiti. The mission of the Expo is to boost and promote Haiti as an emerging market for new business, investment and tourism. The goal of the expo is to bring together and energize the international business community in the US to form sustainable partnerships with the Haitian government to promote capacity building and economic development, provide job opportunities for job-seekers and educate the workforce and the business community on effective business strategies in Haiti. The Expo also offers a unique opportunity for small, medium and large businesses to showcase and promote their products and services. An outpouring interest to invest in Haiti erupted from the devastating earthquake of January 12, 2010. With concerns about the country’s readiness to open its doors for business, the Haiti Expo provides a platform for advancing dialogue and action on critical issues regarding sustainable economic development, the readiness to receive investment and develop small medium enterprises. For the past two years, the Haiti Expo has been supported by Embassy of Haiti and sponsors like Cardno, Miyamoto International, MercyCorps, DAI, STG International and National Language Service Corp. Dr. Kit Miyamoto hailed the 2011 expo as "...one of the best conference regarding Haiti I’ve been to..." This annual event is truly the right place to connect with the right people. As President Michel Martelly stated, "Haiti is opened for business." The line to the investment door is growing; get in it before it’s too late. Packages for booths and tables will be available for businesses to purchase along with varying levels of sponsorships and advertisement opportunity starting on Thursday, March 15, 2012.
