Haiti - Education : The election of Vice-Rector of the UEH called into question
At results published on February 10, the Professor Jean Henri Vernet had been re-elected as Rector of the State University of Haiti [UEH] with 82.3% of the vote. Fritz Deshommes was re-elected unanimously as Vice-President, Research and Ronald Jean Jacques re-elected Vice-President Academic with 61% of the vote.

However the election of Vice-President, Ronald Jean Jacques, who was reelected with 61% (with 11 votes) has been called into question Tuesday, March 20, after that the protesters students of election of February 10, have changed their decision and agree to participate in the new poll. A decision that changed the result of Ronald Jean Jacques, since it is now his opponent, the Professor Jean Poincy, who definitely wins with 15 votes. Jean Poincy becomes the new Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the UEH. Jean Henri Vernet and Fritz Deshommes are maintained at their positions.
