The President Leonel Fernández will receive at the National Palace, Monday, March 26 his Haitian counterpart, Michel Martelly, for a working meeting and the signing of various cooperation agreements. The Head of State will be accompanied by a delegation including: the Prime Minister-designate Laurent Lamothe and Ministers Thiery Mayard-Paul, of Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, of Tourism, Daniel Supplice, of Haitians Living Abroad, Hébert Docteur, of Agriculture, Hervey Day,Planning and Joseph Ronald Toussaint, Environment.

The arrival of the President Martelly is scheduled for 10:00 am at the international airport of Las Americas. Arriving at the National Palace, the President Martelly will receive military honors due to his rank, prior to meet to 11:30 am the President Fernández in his office.

At 12:15 pm, the two leaders will attend a meeting of the Joint Bilateral Commission Dominico-Haitian in the Council Chamber of the Government, at the Palace.

Following this meeting, around 1:30 pm, the two countries will sign a Joint Declaration that will be followed by the signing of agreements between the Chancellors, Mr. Laurent Lamothe and Mr. Carlos Morales Troncoso.

The President Martelly will receive greetings from members of the government of cabinet of President Fernández, and the diplomatic corps accredited in the country before giving a press conference.

At 2:30 pm, the President Fernández will host a luncheon with Martelly in the Green Room of the National Palace. The agenda of the Chief of the Haitian state will end at 4:00 pm.

Then the President Martelly will meet in the afternoon at the Embassy of Haiti in Dominican Republic representatives of Haitian students.
