Laurent Lamothe, the Prime Minister ratified by the Chamber of Deputies in this historic evening of May 3, 2012, wishes on behalf of the Haitian people and on his own behalf, to thank the patriotic and democratic vote, granted by the honorable deputies, to the Report that the commission appointed for this purpose, had submitted to their discretion.

The Prime Minister reiterates once again, its availability to work with all forces of the nation to provide concrete and immediate answers to urgent problems that existed in the country. He also hopes that this process started in favor of the democracy and of welfare of the Haitian people, comes to its end with the immediate presentation of its General Policy Statement in accordance with the prescribed of the Constitution.

In this sense, he reiterates his determination to continue alongside the forces of the nation and of Parliament to work towards the collective interest and of ideals of social change shared by all Haitians in order to achieve the reconstruction and modernization of our country.

The transfer of power between the Prime Minister, Dr. Garry Conille and Laurent Lamothe will take place this Friday, May 4, 2012.

FLASH : The ceremony of transfer of power and of installation of power Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, scheduled for this Friday has been postponed without explanation, despite the preparations observed on site. The announcement of this ceremony, after the ratification of the Prime Minister-designate, had surprised many observers, because the steps of the Statement of General Policy and the presentation of members of the new Government had not yet taken place.
