Haiti - Politic : The Diaspora wishes a Minister of MHAVE coming from their community
While Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe is preparing to present soon its general policy statement and present to Parliament the new team of the executive, Edwin Paraison, the former Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), urges the Government to allow the Diaspora to lead this ministry, by choosing a member of a of the communities from the outside as the next holder.

Edwin Paraison remember that compared to other sectors of the country, the presentation of the General Policy of Government Conille, contained no anticipation of government action towards this other part of the Haitian Nation, living outside the country. Regretting that for the development of this General Policy "there had been consultations with various sectors, except with the diaspora," he considers unacceptable "the exclusion of the diaspora of the country's political life, taking into account the queuing of constitutional reform, which affects the moment the control of MHAVE."

To try to remedy this unfortunate situation, the diaspora has defined a profile for the next owner of MHAVE and hopes that its expectations will be considered by the team in power before the next ministerial appointments.
