Haiti - Tourism : The President Martelly expected to the CHRIS Summit in Miami
Except under the advice of his physicians or political imperatives in Haiti, the President Michel Martelly, will be in Miami on the occasion of next Caribbean Hotel & Resort Investment Summit (CHRIS), which will be held at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami hotel, this May 7-8, 2012.

CHRIS is the Caribbean's most important hotel and tourism investment conference. The Caribbean region is showing signs of recovery, and there may be no better time to focus on the investment opportunities. The President Martelly will present the keynote address to the delegates at CHRIS at the luncheon on May 8.

Tuesday will also be held a debate around the theme "Haiti two+ years later - Where are the opportunities for the hotel/tourism investment community ?" Panelists include:

Richard Buteau, Vice President, Haitian Tourism Association
Kathleen Matthews, Executive Vice President, Marriott International
Jerry Tardieu, CEO, Royal Oasis Hotel
The Honorable Stéphanie B. Villedrouin, Minister of Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, Haiti

The moderator will be Stanislas H. Wojewodzki, Advisor - Haiti Foreign Affairs Minister, Government of Haiti

About President Martelly's participation at CHRIS, conference chairman and host, Jim Burba said, "We are honored to have President Martelly address the top hotel and tourism investment leaders in the Caribbean region. His views and vision about the future of Haiti will no doubt be a highlight of the event."
