Haiti - Politic : Albert Ramdin met with Young Haitian Business Leaders

A delegation of young Haitian businessmen traveled to Washington, DC this week to meet with OAS Assistant Secretary General Albert Ramdin. The delegation included investors in the tourism, manufacturing and transportation sectors.

The Assistant Secretary General and the young business leaders discussed the changes currently taking place in Haiti and the impact of these changes on the business environment. The Haitian delegation also spoke of the need for more business partnerships in the region.

According to Albert Ramdin, "These are young, intelligent and ambitious business men, they will lead Haiti into the future. I’m encouraged by their confidence and their drive to improve economic activity in their country. They recognize the challenges in Haiti, but see the opportunities for growth equally."
