Haiti - Sports : «A new era begins for the Haitian football...» dixit Jean Bart
Thursday at Sylvio Cator stadium, the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) has introduced the new coaching staff consists of five high-level Cuban technicians. According to Yves Jean-Bart "this is a one-year renewable agreement between the Haitian and Cuban Federation through the government of Raul Castro" indicating to the attention of journalist that the closes of this contract are confidential... "For several years, we wanted to bring a Cuban staff to support our programs at all levels. With the elimination of our national selection of the 2014 World Cup [...] we have requested from the Cuban government a high-level staff, able to help us rebuild the national team."

The Cuban technical team is composed of :

  • Israel Blake Cantaro (aka Kiki) will be the new coach of the Grenadiers and replace Tavares, in preparation for the Nations Cup. The newcomer declared that his goal was "to allow Haiti to regain the first place in the the Caribbean Football," saying he was not going to change "the playing style of Haiti, but only correct the mistakes [...] we will work to provide positive results and put Haiti at the head of the countries of the Caribbean" while appealing to the collaboration of the technical staff of the Haitian selection.
  • Constantino Esteban Valdez will take over the women's national team
  • Manuel Rodriguez Navaro will work on the selection Men's U-20
  • Julio César Alvarez Perez will take over the selection Boys and Girls U-15
  • Gregorio Modesto B. Gomez [physical trainer] will work with the national technical direction on our development programs at all levels, from the Academy to the selections, with Dr. Toussaint the current physiotherapist.

"Our players are very talented and I hope they will adapt to the new program of Israël Blake Canterro in order to regain the trust of football fans," declared Dr. Yves Jean Bart for which the Cuban support, announces a new era begins for the Haitian football, and show throughout the world another image of Haitian football.
