Haiti - Justice : Success in the fight against smuggling in Cité Soleil

Fresnel Jean-Baptiste, Director General of the General Administration of Customs (AGD) and Fritz Gerard Chéry, the deputy Commissioner of the government announces that the prosecution, as part of the fight against smuggling, proceeded to the sealing of a warehouse located in Cité Soleil, which contained a large quantity of undeclared goods at customs which include: 250 cases of oil Mazola, 74 bags of peas, 495 gallons of oil Alberto, 1,500 bags of maize...
Moreover, Jean Renel Sénatus, the Government Commissioner has indicated that this case will be referred to the Cabinet instruction for appropriate action. Adding that this action took place within the framework of the actions of the Institutional Committee of fight against smuggling, at the initiative of Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe.
