Haiti - Tourism : Stéphanie talking about training and investment...

Tuesday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism had a meeting with Mr. Bolivar Troncoso, Director of the School of Tourism at the University O&M of the Dominican Republic and the President of the Pan American School of Hospitality and Tourisme (CONPEHT), and Denise Reyes, of the Association of Hotels and of Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores).

The Ministry of Tourism of Haiti will collaborate with the CONPEHT so that young Haitians trained in hospitality and tourism in the Dominican Republic, can come and work in Haiti to train professionals in the sector. The first courses will take place this summer.

That same day, the Minister also met Monica Vazquez the Councillor economic and commercial and David Munoz, both of the Spanish Embassy in Port-au-Prince, to discuss of investment opportunities for hotel chains and other Spanish companies in the touristic areas of Haiti.
