Several thousand fans were present Saturday at the Stade Sylvio Cator, to attend the second victory of our young grenadiers against the team of Curacao (4-1), as part of the first phase of playoffs for the World Cup U-17 men's FIFA.

After a bad start for Haiti, following a defensive error of the Haitian team that has allowed to Shaquelle Cléments from the team of Curacao, to score a goal (4') against our young grenadiers (0-1), the Haitian selection has quickly took over again Jean Wisner Dérival has equalized (12') with a powerful shot (1-1) followed at the end of the first period (45'), with a goal, of the incredible Jonel Désiré.

In the second period, the Haitian team has largely dominated the team of Curacao. Jonel Désiré scored two more shots (58 'and 78') leaving no hope for visitors. After these first two games (3-0) (4-1) our young grenadiers keep the title of leader.

With these 3 new goals, Jonel became the best scorer, totaling five shots. Haiti will face on Monday, in a final game, the Dominican Republic.

Recall that the group winners and the best second-place team will advance to a final round of qualifying August 19-30 at a venue to be determined later to decide the Caribbean's five berths in the CONCACAF finals, set for April 6-19 in Panama.

The World Cup U-17 men's will be held in United Arab Emirates, from October 17 to November 8, 2013.
