The plane of the President of Haiti, Michel Martelly is scheduled to land today at 6pm at the air base "Mariscal Sucre" in the capital of Ecuador, accompanied by an official delegation, informed the Ministry of Foreign to Quito. On his arrival the President Martelly will receive the military honors.

While in Ecuador, the Head of the Haitian state, will participate in various activities, amon other, he will visit the Military College Eloy Alfaro, will visit the Plaza de la Independecia, accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ecuador, Ricardo Patiño, for the ceremony of laying a wreath in honor of the heroes of the independence of this friendly country of Haiti.

Wednesday the Haitian President, will visit the Carondelet Palace, where he will have a working meeting with his counterpart, the President Rafael Correa, political, diplomatic issues and of cooperation will, among others, the focus of discussion. After, he should proceed with the signing of bilateral agreements.

In the afternoon, the head of the Haitian state will be declared "Illustrious Guest" of Quito and will receive the keys to the city before visiting the care center "Manuela Espejo" in the old hospital Eugenio Espejo.

In the infrastructure sector particularly, Ecuador, who brings its technical and financial support to Haiti, has already funded a program to the tune of 13 million U.S. dollars in the Artibonite. An amount of $15 illion is now available to launch the second phase of this program in another region to be determined.

The President of the Republic is satisfied of the trust placed in him by the international partners who, like Haitians, are convinced of its willingness and determination to improve the living conditions of the Haitian people. Thus, the Head of State will multiply the efforts to continue serving the nation with dignity in taking concrete action to the benefit of all.
