Haiti - Sports : Marlena Wesh, will not participate to the qualifications of 200 meters 06/08/2012 08:24:37
Unfortunately, during the semifinals of the 400 meters, which took place on Saturday, Marlena Wesh injured her left heel. According to our sources, she suffers from tendinitis in the Achilles tendon [Achilles Tendonitis], making it impossible her participation to the qualifications of 200 meters women. For our young Haitian athlete, the London Olympics are over. Recall that Marlena had qualified Friday for the semifinals of the 400 meters with a time of 51.98 seconds, coming third of her serie and 14th overall. Unfortunately, in the semi-finals on Saturday, Marlena came last of her serie with a time of 52.49 seconds, and 19th on 24 overall.
