Sophia Martelly, the First Lady of the Republic, received on Wednesday in her office at the National Palace, Patricelande Mexil, the 6 year old girl who was severely injured during the accident of a vehicle of the presidential motorcade in Milot, on July 19.

Following this accident, Patricelande had first been treated in the Emergency Service of the Hospital of Milot, before being transferred by helicopter the same day in Port-au-Prince. She was placed in intensive care at the Hospital Bernard Mevs where she had been visited by the presidential couple.

She is a child alert, full of vitality and humor that was received by the First Lady who did not hide her satisfaction to see her in such good shape. The President Michel Martelly, who wanted to meet her, was visibly pleased with his health condition and had, with her a friendly conversation during which she has shown an amazing alertness. Accompanied by her mother, she created the event to the Office of the First Lady.

Thursday, escorted by Ms. Mona Adam, nurse, member of the Office of the First Lady, Patricelande and her mother traveled to the terminal Guy Malary where they boarded the Tortug'Air to Cap-Haitien. Upon arrival, they were received by a medical team of the OFATMA led by Dr. alérie François Jacques assisted by the nurse Léonide Philogène that has accompanied them to their home to Milot where they received a warm welcome from the population.

President Martelly and his wife have promised to accompany the family and have been particularly concernedby her education and the environment in which she evolves.
