Ronsard St Cyr, former Minister of Social Affairs and Labour was officially installed in his functions, as the new Minister of Interior and Territorial Collectivities, replacing Me Paul Mayard. The ceremony was attended by several members of the government, executives and employees of the Ministry.

In his speech Ronsard St-Cyr declared "[...] My duty is to strengthen first the communities through the 5 'E' of the Government program and also the policy promoted by His Excellency Mr. Joseph Michel Martelly. These 5 'E' to be well implemented, should be articulated through our collectivities that I undertake to strengthen [...]

As Member of Superior Council of National Police (CSPN), we will also work to control our territory : ensure the security our borders, our ports, our airports and all the citizens. We will also assist the police in its work. We will strengthen the rule of law and better make understand the authority of the State.

I will continue to develop, as did Thierry Mayard Paul, an open communicative management, so that everyone can fulfill its role effectively towards sustainable results [...] I rely on you, for the Nation can benefit and tha the Pèp la ka jwenn [...]"

Me Mayard Paul, the outgoing Minister declared "[...] all the good experiences as the bad have an end. Mine as Minister of Interior and Territorial Collectivities has not escaped this dogma, history like politics, teach that true friends are those of childhood and exile. I am honored, to have grown and matured my vision with Martelly, I am proud to have fight throughout the campaign with him, just as I am proud to have been his Interior Minister [...] be reassured that this early retirement, can not in any way divest myself of my duty to accompany my childhood friend, the President Martelly, in his quest of wellness for his people.

I address my thanks to the staff of the Ministry, for its seamless collaboration [...] I particularly enjoyed your hard work in spite of many difficulties, this proves that the future of Haiti it is the Haitians themselves, I am grateful. To you Mr. Minister and friend Ronsard St-Cyr, I wish good work and success in your difficult task in a situation how difficult [...]"

Friday, August 9, Thierry Mayard Paul, was appointed, Private Advisor of President of the Republic, with ministerial rank.
