After the usual introductions made by Mr. Faustin Lebon, Head of Religious Affairs to the Consular Mission, the Consul Thomas in his speech, after having renewed his commitment, to make of the Consulate of Haiti in Atlanta, a model in terms of interpersonal relationship with Haitian nationals under its jurisdiction and in terms of involvement in their social, economic and cultural development, the Consul launched an appeal to the collaboration of pastors, to accompany him in this heavy but noble task.

Recalling that at the initiative of the Consulate, several projects are underway or will be or will soon, for the welfare of the community, he cited among others : the Saturdays of Health, in partnership with the Haitian-American Nurses Association (HANA-Atlanta); the introductory course in computer science, to be held from September 5, together with the Lutheran Services of Georgia ; the workshops with entrepreneurs and investors from the region and soon, its literacy program.
